Salem is Purrrfectly One

I am so excited to share Salem’s first birthday with you. I have always associated Salems name with cats. I think part of that comes from our love of Halloween and of course there is a certain famous cat named Salem! I also think they are absolutely adorable. All of these reasons combined led me to her Purrrfectly One party.

I just love with the details here. One of my favorite parts of the party was the kitten adoption center. The children were able to pick out their favorite cat and fill out the adoption certificate. They loved picking out a kitten to take home and getting to name them! We are also huge adoption advocates so it’s always fun to include that and drive home the adopt, don't shop mission!

I had so much fun creating her cake station. We decided on a simple smash cake and cupcakes and I added some girly sparkle to them with the stars. This area not only had her smash cake and cupcakes but we added adorable popcorn containers, Swedish fish and of course, yarn! The yarn was strung throughout the party in a way that a cat would have played and pounced with it. Such a fun touch!

I also added personalized signs all over. Such a simple way to add to your theme. Wet Your Whiskers, Lets Pawty, You had me at Meow, and thank you Meow-y much for coming, were some of the ones I used.

And of course, you cannot have a cat themed party with out lots and lots of paw prints! I incorporated them in a few different ways. When you walked in the door you were led into the party area with a trail of prints. I also added them to the wall with the cakes as a way to frame out that space and draw even more attention to it. I always love to include a wall specifically for photos, so we made sure to add a few prints to this wall as well.

It was truly a magical day. I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life that love our girl so deeply! Watching Salem light up when we sang to her was the highlight of the day for me. She slowlllllly opened each present and at many points during the day you’d find her looking around, taking it all in! So thankful for my best girl and so blessed to have been able to make these memories at her Purrrfectly One first birthday!

It has been the most wonderful year!
